Professional Detailing For Your Vehicle

Professional detailing services can be found all over the world for every vehicle and for a multitude of different purposes. Auto detailing, boat detailing and RV detailing are some of the most highly sought after professional services, with simple car washes and car waxing services available to those on a lower budget or with less time. Professional detailing is a process involving several hours of careful and thorough attention to detail and cleaning with the ultimate objective of restoring the vehicle to its original finish and shine.

The leading industry for professional detailing is auto detailing. From the hurried businessman to the show car owner, thousands of people have used professional detailing services to help care for their cars and expand the lifetime of a car’s finish and paint. As with most other vehicles, the process begins by washing and cleaning the wheels of the car. Some cars, particularly show cars and higher end automobiles, have very intricate wheels with rivets and polished lips that require careful cleaning to protect them from elements on the road. The body of the car also requires much attention, as paint tends to fade over time from exposure to the sun and other elements. The process must go through the car systematically to prevent water spots from forming and windows from streaking. High quality car waxing products and polishes are used to finish an automobile.

Boat detailing is a professional detailing service that can also be extremely beneficial to the safety features on the vessel. The detailing process must pay close attention to the canvas and teak or mahogany finish of the boat. The canvas must be washed and protected with sealant to prevent rips or harmful effects from ultraviolet rays. Similarly, the teak finish of a deck often must be re-sanded and oiled to remove the gray, weathered look that often accompanies a boat after being put into use. Detailing must be carefully performed to be sure the deck is slip-free while being resistant to the sun and general dirt and grime build-up. A boat’s gel coat must be carefully washed and preserved to prevent staining and sea scum. A sealant is used to finish the boat, giving it a bright and protective coating.

The RV detailing process is a combination of the professional detailing used on boats and cars. RV’s are generally washed and cleaned in the same manner as a car, but the finishing process involves protecting and sealing the gel coat, much in the same manner as a boat. RV’s are also subject to galvanic corrosion and pitted and rusted window trims and aluminum siding can be very distasteful on an otherwise beautiful RV. Detailers pay close attention to these features to help prevent corrosion before it starts. Special products are made to help prevent the rust that can quickly form, and a careful and time consuming polishing process follows. As with all detailing services, the RV when finished should look brand new, with restored paint and showroom quality shine.
